FAQ

Vehicle Protection Plans

  • What Is a Vehicle Protection Plan?

Vehicle protection plans offer affordable protection against costly and unexpected repairs beyond the manufacturer's or dealer's warranty and are available for both new and used vehicles. In some cases, vehicle protection plans are less expensive than the cost of a single mechanical breakdown.*

  • Why Should I Buy a Vehicle Protection Plan If My Vehicle Still Has a Manufacturer’s Warranty?

A vehicle protection plan makes sense if you are planning to keep your vehicle past the manufacturer’s basic warranty period and you want additional protection against the high repair costs. In addition, you may be eligible for more comprehensive coverage and the potential for long-term cost savings as the best rates for all coverage plans are on vehicles with lower mileage. Finally, our vehicle protection plans come with the following benefits: car rental, travel expenses for trip interruption, and 24/7 emergency roadside assistance including towing, flat tire assistance, battery service, lost key/lockout services and delivery of emergency supplies of fluids and other supplies.

  • My Vehicle is Not Under Warranty, but it's Very Reliable. Do I Need a Protection Plan?

You may still purchase a vehicle protection plan after the original full manufacturer's warranty has expired. Mechanical breakdowns are a reality for even the most reliable vehicles which is why manufacturers only offer warranties for a limited period. As your vehicle gets older and accumulates more miles, the likelihood of experiencing a mechanical breakdown increases. An investment in a vehicle protection plan today may protect you from an unexpected and costly repair bill in the future.
